Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS)
At Travis St Lawrence we are subject to a SIAMS inspection, the principal objective of which is to evaluate the distinctiveness and effectiveness of the school as a church school. The inspection focuses on the effect that the Christian ethos of a church school has on the children who attend it. Our school inspection took place on the 10th March 2016 and I am pleased to be able to inform you that our school was graded as outstanding.
This is the first SIAMs inspection since the school was amalgamated. Both the Infant and Junior schools were previously graded as outstanding but I think it is important to recognise, as the report does, that we have taken the best of both schools to develop our own ethos, which is firmly rooted in the Christian foundations and values of its predecessors.
I am pleased and proud to be able to share the report with you and know that you will join me in celebrating its contents. Our Christian community - every pupil, staff member, governor and parent is recognised in this outcome.
