If we are advised that a child or member of staff in a specific bubble has tested positive for Covid-19, that particular bubble will need to self-isolate at home for 10 days.
The relevant families will be initially informed by text message, as soon as we have been informed to close the bubble by Public Health England. This will be followed as soon as possible after with an email containing further information.
All children, providing they are well, will be expected to participate daily in remote learning for all subjects at home, as set out in the government guidance. Children will have meaningful and ambitious work each day in a number of different subjects. Learning completed by children will be of equivalent length to the teaching & learning time pupils would receive in school.
Teachers will set daily learning for the core subjects; weekly tasks for the foundation subjects; respond in a timely manner to work submitted by pupils; and host a daily session where children and/or parents can ask questions about the learning.
You will be contacted by a member of staff, to confirm your preferred option for learning at home. This will be learning that is set online and either completed online or on your own paper and uploaded or printed packs provided by school. This is the information you gave us in the IT survey in September.
If you are accessing learning online, you will find it in the class story section on ClassDojo. A list of times that the teacher will be available for questions on Teams (once set up) will be published for the week. These sessions will be recorded, so can be watched at a later time if needed.
If you requested a printed pack, it will be delivered and left on your doorstep. We will phone to let you know when it will be arriving.
You will continue your learning at home following the online activities or learning sequence in your printed pack.
We will check in with you at least once a week to make sure everything is ok and answer any questions. In between this, attend the daily check ins, email your child’s teacher or a member of SLT with any questions.
